Adumim Food Ingredients,
People
Adumim has a staff dedicated to producing
innovative and quality products, and providing its customers
with continuous support and service.
These are some of the people who make
Adumim the energetic and dynamic company it is:
Dr. Eli Pinthus
- Chairman of the Board, established Adumim Chemicals to commercialize
his research on the production of food emulsifiers while a graduate
student at the Casali Institute. Dr. Pinthus, motivated by strong
entrepreneur vision, took the results of his lab work all the
way through from an idea to a full size plant. The long way passed
through dozens of authorities, institutions, government offices
etc. until its final and successful recognition and materialization.
Dr. Pinthus has managed all phases of entrepreneurship, product
development, manufacture and marketing. As a result, he has developed
comprehensive management skills and industrial expertise.
In 1995 Dr. Pinthus completed his Ph.D. study in food science
and resigned from his position as managing director. He spent
one year as a research fellow in the University of California
at Davis, during which period, in addition to his research work,
Dr. Pinthus carefully examined new developments in the field
of nutraceuticals. In August 1996 Dr. Pinthus returned to Adumim
to take up a new position as director of business development.
Since then he has devoted most of his time to the new line of
business, namely the nutraceutical line of products, which he
defines as his "new baby".
During his short academic career, Dr. Pinthus has published 12
referred articles and participated as lecturer in several scientific
events. In addition, Dr. Pinthus is co-inventor of 5 patents.
